⚡Community DJ Hour on KWMR! ⚡

We’re never short of great music or incredible stories here in West Marin. That’s why we’re opening up the airwaves every Wednesday at 1pm! Community DJ Hour is a new spin on the interview format. Each week, our guests bring a playlist of music to share with our listeners. Between songs, we learn why they chose the music they did and learn more about the life and work of our friends and neighbors.
Ep. 5: Bolinas resident Mark Butler
July 1, 2026 ⚡ Mark, former KWMR youth DJ coordinator, joins Jeff Manson to talk world peace and the pleasures of gardening.
Ep. 4: Guitarist and counselor Ron Hett
June 24, 2026 ⚡ Ron, the father of KWMR DJ Ryan Hett (DJ Landbird of Chock-a-Block Radio), talks mental health and addiction and Ron’s life on the road as a guitarist and counselor.
Ep. 3: BoBo Tempo frontman and Bolinas citizen Magi Barror

June 17, 2026 ⚡ From his early work as a public radio host to his present day efforts to uplift the Bolinas Commmunity Center, Bolinas citizen Magi Barror brings the spirit of aloha (Magi spent his formative years in Hawaii) to West Marin. Magi shares tracks from his band, BoBo Tempo, and shares stories from his life and fifty plus years in Bolinas with host Jeff Manson.
Ep. 2: Inverness resident and composer Ben Livingston

June 10, 2026 ⚡ With hosts Jordan Bowen and Miguel Kuntz ⚡ Inverness resident Ben Livingston was coaxed out of the woods to share selections from his latest album, tell us how to make a flute out of elderberry, and surprise Jordan and Miguel with two enormous (edible, probably) mushrooms. Check out Ben’s Bandcamp to hear more of his compositions!
Ep. 1: Mary O’Brien and Tom McCafferty (CLAM)

June 3, 2026 ⚡ With host Jordan Bowen ⚡ You’ve probably heard about CLAM’s efforts to create affordable housing for displaced ranch workers, or seen the construction at 6th and B in downtown Point Reyes Station. But did you know that their team has really great taste in music? By far the grooviest update on local housing policy we’ve ever aired on KWMR.
