Such were the sultry words that made folk singer Maria Muldaur a star. An icon of the Greenwich Village folk movement who came up with the likes of Bob Dylan and Joan Baez as part of the Jug Band, Maria’s seductive reserve and gentle yet unexpectedly powerful voice made her a household name by the 1970s.
Maria joined KWMR host Vickisa on Coastal Airwaves on Thursday, June 19. They’ve known each other for years, and relaxed behind the mic with some good natured ribbing as they reflected on Maria’s life in music and heard some of her latest work. Have a listen:
